Amendment of s. 18 (2). 7. Subsection two of section eighteen of the Principal Act is amended by repealing the words "within one month" where those words appear in the second paragraph of that subsection and by inserting the words " within two months" in lieu of those repealed words. LEASE ACT AMENDMENT ACT OF [ASSENTED TO 13TH DECEMBER, 1950.] B 1950. E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty~ by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- Short title 1. This Act may be cited as " The Ipswich Trades : ~ ~ structi( ln. and Labour Hall Land Perpetual Lease Act Amendment Act of 1950," and shall be read as one with *"The Ipswich Trades and Labour Hall Land Perpetual Lease Act of 1925," herein referred to as the Principal Act. * 16 G. 5 No. 11.

Cb h y flLauenratdshsee. sr of and West Moreton Labour Day Celebration Committee, as defined in the preceding section two hereof, a perpetual lease of any parcel of land contiguous to or in the neighbourhood of the land described in the said section two and which becomes Crown land in the manner hereinafter provided, and for this purpose the provisions of the said section two, with the exception of the condition contained in subparagraph (d) thereof, expressed to be applicable only to the land referred to in subsection one of that section, shall apply and extend in all respects as if such parcel of contiguous or neighbouring land were referred to in that subsection: Provided that any such parcel of contiguous or neighbouring land shall be so demised only when such parcel has been surrendered to the Crown by or at the direction or with the consent of the said trustees. (2.) If any such parcel of contiguous or neighbouring land has the benefit of or is subject to any easement or easements over or in favour of any other lands, whether such lands be held for an estate in fee-simple or a less estate, or be Crown lands, the surrender of such parcel of land with the benefit of or subject to any such easements is hereby authorised, but the grant of any lease of such parcel of land to the trustees consequent upon such surrender shall include the benefit of or be subject to any such easement or easements, as the case shall require, attached to the said land at the time it was surrendered. (3.) The Governor in Council may by Order in Council, at any time and from time to time, provide for- (a) The registration, including the manner, regulation, and control of the registration, of any such easements, or of any like easements which shall have been arranged at any time whether before or after the surrender as aforesaid of a parcel of land; and

(b) The registration, including the manner, regulation, and control of the registration, of trustees (including the appointment of new trustees and the vacation of office by trustees), notwithstanding anything contained in *" The Real Property Acts, 1861 to 1946,H or t" The Land Acts, 1910 to 1949," and those Acts shall apply and be read and construed subject to any such Order in CounciL" News. 4 inserted. 3. The following section is inserted after section three of the Principal Act as previously inserted by this Act, namely :- P* i~ ses of " [4.] For the purposes of this Act the term "for tabou: sH~ ~ . the purposes of a Trades and Labour Hall " shall include and be deemed to have included always the letting of any part of any property demised under this Act for any term not exceeding seven years, for the purpose of raising moneys to pay- (a) Any rates, taxes, insurance premiums, and other outgoings on any such property; (b) The costs of the maintenance, repair, and painting of such property ; (c) The costs of the carrying out of further improvements on such property; (d) The repayment of any moneys secured by mortgage or in any other manner owing in respect of such property." • 25 V.
