All moneys of the Board arising from any source shall be paid into such bank as the Board from time to time determines to an account to be called "The Metropolitan Fish Market Fund Account," and shall only be paid thereout by cheques signed by the secretary and countersigned by the chairman or any two members of the Board. authorised by it from time to time to sign cheques. Annual Audit. 25. (1.) The Auditor-General, or such officer of his staff as he from time to time directs, shall once at least in every year examine the books and accounts of the Board, and the Auditor-General shall report there- upon to the Treasurer. (2.) The Treasurer may, if he thinks fit, require such books and accounts to he kept by the Board, and in such form and manner as may be prescribed by the Auditor-General. (3.) On or before the thirty-first day of August in each year the Board shall publish in the Gazette, and in some newspaper generally circulating in the District, a true statement of the receipts and expendi- ture of the Board for the year ending the thirtieth day of June then last past, and such statement shall be signed by the chairman and secretary, and certified as correct by the Auditor-General. 9025 METHODIST UNION. [ASSENTED TO 20TH DECEMBER, 1905.] W HEREAS by a deed of grant from the Crown, Preamble. numbered 62701, and bearing date the fifth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, all that piece or parcel of land, in the State of Queensland, containing fifteen acres, situated in the county of Stanley and parish of Ipswich, being portion 302 C, reserve for show grounds, and more particularly described in the said deed of grant, with all the rights and appurtenances whatsoever thereto belonging, was, subject to certain reser- vations not necessary to be herein particularly set out, granted to John Clarke Foote, John Ferrett, Edward Augustus Bullmore, William Kellett, and George Rennie

Wilson as trustees and to their successors for ever upon trust for show grounds and for no other purposes what- soever: And whereas, under and in pursuance of "The Trustees of Public Lands Act of 1869,"* the Governor in Council, on the fourth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six, appointed Thomas Bridson Cribb, Pollet Loftus Cardew, William Thomas Deacon, and Samuel Watson to be trustees of the said land in the room of the said John Clarke Foote, Edward Augustus Bullmore, and John Ferrett, deceased, and the said William Kellett, who had left the district, and the said land was thereupon and has since remained vested in the said George Rennie Wilson, Thomas Bridson Cribb, Pollet Loftus Cardew, William Thomas Deacon, and Samuel Watson: And whereas it is desirable that the trustees of the said land and their successors in office should have the powers hereinafter conferred upon them: Be it therefore enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :- Short title. 1. This Act may be cited as " The Ipswich Show Grounds Act of 1905." Interpreta- tion: 2. In this Act— "Building" means any house, grand stand, booth, stable, shed, or other building, structure, or erection of any description suitable for the purposes of show grounds; "Show Grounds" means the land comprised in the before-mentioned deed of grant; "Trustees" means and includes the said George Rennie Wilson, Thomas Bridson Cribb, Pollet Loftus Cardew, William Thomas Deacon, and Samuel Watson, and their duly appointed successors in office for the time being. The Governor in Council shall, in the event of the death, resignation, or removal from office of the trustees, or any of them, appoint new trustees or a new trustee in their or his stead. * 33 Vic. Silver Lead Mines, Limited, its assigns and successors in interest, therein called "the Company," for the purpose of connecting Burketown and also certain valuable mineral lands at Lilydale with a port on or near the mouth of the Albert River, was authorised and required, subject to the provisions of that Act, within five years from the date of the passing of that Act, to construct and thereafter main- tain a main line of tramway one hundred and twenty miles or thereabouts in length, commencing at the Ballast Ground, ,on or near the mouth of the Albert River, and thence pro- ceeding by way of Burketown to the Lilydale Mine by a route delineated in the Schedule to the said Act in accord- ance with plans, sections, and book of reference to be deposited in the office of the Commissioner for Railways, in the said Act and hereinafter called the "Commissioner," at Brisbane, and to be approved as in the said Act provided: And whereas the Company has duly made the money deposit of two thousand five hundred pounds required by the said Act, and the said deposit still remains in the name *64 Vie.
