NO. IV.

AN ORDINANCE for securing to John Morgan, for a limi-

ted period, the exclusive benefit of a certain Invention.

[ 9th July, 1866. ]

HEREAS John Morgan, of No. 23, Stephens Green, North,

in the city of Dublin, Fellow of the Royal College of

Surgeons, Ireland, bath represented that he has invented improve-

ments in Embalming and Preserving from decay human bodies and

bodies of other animals, also in pickling, curing, and flavoring animal

bodies, which improvements lie believes will be of great public

uti lity within the said colony, and path requested that an Ordinance

may be passed securing to him, his executors, administrators, and

assigns, the exclusive benefit of such invention for a limited time :

Be it therefore enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Western
