REGULATIONS UNDER THE INVALID AND OLD-AGE PENSIONS ACT 1908–1931.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Invalid and Old-age Pensions Act 1908–1931, to come into operation on 20th July, 1931.

Amendment of Invalid and Old-age Pensions Regulations.

(Statutory Rules 1926, No. 178, as amended to this date.)

1. Regulation 12 of the Invalid and Old-age Pensions Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting the words “Eighty-four pounds ten shillings” and inserting in their stead the words “Seventy-eight pounds”; and

(b) by omitting the words “Fifty-two pounds” (wherever occurring) and inserting in their stead the words “ Forty-five pounds ten shillings”.

2. Regulation 32 of the Invalid and Old-age Pensions Regulations is amended by omitting the words “the rate of Five shillings and sixpence” (wherever occurring) and inserting in their stead the words “a rate calculated in accordance with the Act but not in any case exceeding Five shillings”.

3. Form 2 of the Invalid and Old-age Pensions Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting the words “Have you, or has your wife or husband, at any time applied for a War Pension? If so, when and where?”; and

(b) by inserting, after the words “During the last twelve months did you receive free board, or free lodging or both? (State which received, and for how long received)”, the words “Are you in receipt of a War Pension? (If so, give full particulars)”.

4. Form 3 of the Invalid and Old-age Pensions Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting the words “Have you at any time applied for a War Pension? If so, when and where?”; and

(b) by inserting, after the words “During the last twelve months did you receive free board or free lodging or both? (State which received, and for how long received.)”, the words “Are you in receipt of a War Pension? (If so, give full particulars.)”.

5. Form 23 of the Invalid and Old-age Pensions Regulations is amended—

(a) by inserting, after the words “During the last twelve months did you receive free board or free lodging or both? (State which, for how long, and from whom received.)”, the words “Are you in receipt of a War Pension? (If so, give full particulars.)”;

(b) by omitting the words “or Commonwealth War Pensions”;

(c) by omitting the words “Do you own any horses, cattle, sheep, or other livestock? (Give particulars and value.) Do you own any vehicles, implements, &c? (Give particulars and value.)”, and inserting in their stead the words “Do you own any horses, cattle, sheep, or other livestock, or any vehicles, implements, &c.? (Give particulars and value.)”

“Have you any interest under a Will or any other instrument? (Give full particulars.)”.
