Interstate Road Transport Charge Regulations 2006¹

1. Name of Regulations

These Regulations are the Interstate Road Transport Charge Regulations 2006.

1. Commencement

These Regulations commence immediately after the amounts of the charges mentioned in subsection 5A (1) of the Act are increased under subsection 5A (2) of the Act for the year beginning 1 July 2006.

1. Repeal

The Interstate Road Transport Charge Regulations 2001 are repealed.

1. Definition

In these Regulations:

Act means the Interstate Road Transport Charge Act 1985.

1. Decrease of amount of charge

For section 6 of the Act, the amount of charge that applies in respect of the year beginning 1 July 2006 for the registration of a motor vehicle or trailer referred to in Part 2 of the Schedule to the Act is decreased so as to be as set out in Schedule 1 to these Regulations.

               The amount of the charge applicable to a load carrying trailer, a converter dolly or a low loader dolly is worked out using the formula:
