INTERSTATE DESTITUTE PERSONS

RELIEF.

No. 24 of 1931.

AN ACT to make provision in the Interstate Destitute Persons Relief Act, 1912, whereby a Territory of the Commonwealth of Australia and a Territory governed by the said Commonwealth under a mandate shall be deemed to be a State in the said Commonwealth for the purposes of the said Act.

E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by

Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

1. This Act may be cited as the Interstate Destitute Per- Short tale.

sons Relief Act Amendment Act, 1931, and shall be read as one with the Interstate Destitute Persons Relief Act, 1912, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

Amendment of 2. Section four of the principal Act is amended as fol-

lows :-

(a)	by adding after the word "Australia," in the defi- nition of "Commonwealth," the words "together with every Territory of the Commonwealth of Australia and every territory governed by the Commonwealth of Australia under a mandate";
(b)	by inserting in the definition of "State," after the words "ally State," wherever the same appear in the said definition, the words "or Territory."
