INTERSTATE DESTITUTE PERSONS

RELIEF.

No. 24 of 1931.

AN ACT to make provision in the Interstate Destitute Persons Relief Act, 1912, whereby a Territory of the Commonwealth of Australia and a Territory governed by the said Commonwealth under a mandate shall be deemed to be a State in the said Commonwealth for the purposes of the said Act.

E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by

Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

1. This Act may be cited as the Interstate Destitute Per- Short tale.

Amendment of

2. Section four of the principal Act is amended as fol-

lows :-

(a)

by adding after the word "Australia," in the defi- nition of "Commonwealth," the words "together with every Territory of the Commonwealth of Australia and every territory governed by the Commonwealth of Australia under a mandate";

(b)

by inserting in the definition of "State," after the words "ally State," wherever the same appear in the said definition, the words "or Territory."
