AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Interpretation Ordinance 1967.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Ordinance under the Seat of Government (Administra­ tion) Act 1910.

INTERPRETATION (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE 1977

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Interpretation (Amendment)

Ordinance 1977.*

2. This Ordinance shall come into operation on 1 July 1977.

3. Section 14 of the Interpretation Ordinance 1967f is amended by

omitting the definition of " t h e Gazette" and substituting the following
definition:—
" ' t he Gazette' means the Commonwealth of Australia Gazette,

and includes the Australian Government Gazette published during the period commencing on 1 July 1973 and ending on 30 June 1977;".

Authorised by the ACT Parliamentary Counsel—also accessible at
4 . Section 14A of the Interpretation Ordinance 1967 is amended

by inserting, before the words " 'Government Printer of Australia' ", the words " 'Government Printer of the Commonwealth', 'Government Printer of the Commonwealth of Australia' , 'Commonwealth Govern­ ment Printer ' or ".
