No. 8 of 1948.

AN ACT to amend section thirty-six of the Inter-

pretation Aet, 1918-1938.

[Assented to 11th November, 1948.]

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty,by and with the advice and consent of the Legis-

lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in tins present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1.    This Act may be cited as the Interpretation Act Sha tie.

Amendment Act, 1948, and shall be read as one with the

Interpretation Act, 1918 (Act No. 30 of 1918, as amended by Nos. 31 of 1929 and 28 of 1938), hereinafter referred

to as the principal Act.

The principal Act as amended by this Act may be citation l of

3.    Section thirty-six of the principal Act is amended itinsendarrnt

by substituting for paragraph (d) of subsection (1) the

following:—

"(d) shall be laid before each House of Parliament within the six sitting days of such House next following such publication."
