AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Interpretation Ordinance 1967.

I THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of , Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council,
hereby make the following Ordinance under the Seat of Government
(Administration) Act 1910-1972.

INTERPRETATION ORDINANCE 1972

1.—(1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Interpretation

Ordinance 1972.*

(2.) The Interpretation Ordinance 1967,t as amended by this
Ordinance, may be cited as the Interpretation Ordinance 1967-1972.

2.   The Schedule to the Principal Ordinance is amended— (a) by inserting, after the words—

" Republic of Cyprus ",

t Ordinance N o . 48, 1967.

the word—

" Fiji ";

(b) by inserting, after the word—

" Malta ", the words— " Mauritius

Republic of Nauru ";

(c) by inserting, after the words—

" Republic of Singapore ",

the word—

" Swaziland ";

* Notified in the Commonwealth Gazette on 30 June 1972.

(d) by inserting, after the words—

" United Republic of Tanzania ",

the words—

" Kingdom of Tonga "; and ( f ) by inserting, after the words— " United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern

Ireland ",

the words—

" Western Samoa ".
