Insurance Levy Legislation Repeal Act 2001

An Act to repeal the Insurance Levy Act 1998 and the Insurance Levy Regulations, and for other purposes

[Notified in ACT Gazette No 16: 19 April 2001]

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

  1. Name of Act

    This Act is the Insurance Levy Legislation Repeal Act 2001.

  2. Commencement

  3. Sections 1, 2 and 3 commence on the day this Act is notified in the Gazette.

  4. Sections 4 and 5 commence on 1 July 2002.

  5. An amendment in schedule 1 commences on the date mentioned (after ‘commencement:’) at the end of the amendment.

    Example

    An amendment in the schedule followed by ‘(commencement: 1 July 2001)’ indicates that the amendment commences on 1 July 2001.

  6. Amended Acts

    Schedule 1 amends the Acts mentioned in it.

  7. Repeal of Insurance Levy Act 1998

    The Insurance Levy Act 1998 No 32 is repealed.

  8. Repeal of Insurance Levy Regulations

    The Insurance Levy Regulations (SL 1998 No 30) are repealed.
