And whereas certain land, being Subdivision 2 of Allotments 1 and 20 of Section 26, County of Stanley, Parish of North Brisbane, Town of Brisbane, containing 12·43 perches, and more particularly described in the Second Schedule to this Act, is presently held upon trust in the name of the Board of National Education for the purpose of "an Act to incorporate the Board of Commissioners for National Education" made and passed in the Eleventh year of the Reign of her late Majesty Queen Victoria, under a Deed registered pursuant to *"The Registration of Deeds Act of 1843" and dated the Seventeenth day of May, One thousand eight hundred and fifty-two, and registered in Book 7D, Folio 245 : Third Schedule. And whereas certain land, being Subdivision 1 of Allotments 1 and 20 of Section 26, County of Stanley, Parish of North Brisbane, being the land ~ contained in Deed of Grant Number 108656, Volu:(lle 1465, Folio 166, containing 1 rood 9·76 perches, and more particu- larly described in the Third Schedule to this Act is Crown land, having been transferred to His Sovereign Majesty King George the Fifth by the Commissioner for Trade: And whereas a description of the whole of the aforesaid lands described in the First, Second, and Third Schedules aforesaid is set forth in the Fourth Schedule to this Act: * 7 Vie. And whereas there is being erected on the aforesaid lands a building for occupation by the Insurance Commissioner and such other lessee or lessees who may be granted a lease by the Insurance Commissioner: And whereas it has been deemed expedient to transfer to His Majesty the lands described in the two firstmentioned paragraphs of this preamble (and more particularly described in the First and Second Schedules First and of this Act), so that such lands shall become Crown ~ ~ ~: ' ~Jes. lands: And whereas the Insurance Commissioner is about to purchase the whole of the lands referred to in the three firstmentioned paragraphs of this preamble (being the lands described in the Fourth Schedule to this Act), and delineated and marked red on the plan in the Fifth Fifth Schedule to this Act: Schedule. And whereas it has been deemed expedient to issue to the Insurance Commissioner, as purchaser of the said lands, being the lands delineated and marked red on the plan in the Fourth Schedule to this Act and as described in the Fifth Schedule to this Act, a Deed of Grant Fifth under *" The Real Property Acts, 1861 to 1887." Schedule. Be it therefore enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :- 1. This Act may be cited as "The Insurance Short title. Commissioner Land Purchase Act of 1931." 2. The term the "Public Curator" shall mean the Public Curator constituted pursuant to the provisions of t"The Public Curator Acts, 1915 to 1926." Transfer of 3. (a) Subdivision 1 of Allotment 19 containing 30·55 perches, being portion of the land described in Certificate of Title Number 25567, Volume 182, Folio 63, being Subdivision 1 of Allotment 19 of Section 26, County of Stanley, Parish of North Brisbane, City of Brisbane, and more particularly described in the First Schedule to this Act, and presently held in fee-simple in the name of the Board of General Education of Queens- land; and Second Schedule. (b) Subdivision 2 of Allotments 1 and 20 of Section 26, County of Stanley, Parish of North Brisbane, Town of Brisbane, contain- ing 12·43 perches, and more particularly described in the Second Schedule to this Act and presently held upon trust in the name of the Board of National Education for the purpose of "an Act to incorporate the Board of Commissioners for National Education" passed in the Eleventh year of the Reign of her late Majesty Queen Victoria, under a Deed registered pursuant to t"The Registration of Deeds Act of 1843" and dated the Seven- teenth day of May, One thousand eight hundred and fifty-two, and registered in Book 7D, Folio 245 ; are and shall be, by virtue of the provisions of this Act, transferred and conveyed to His Majesty King George the Fifth absolutely, and freed from any restrictions or encumbrances or otherwise whatsoever, and such lands so * 7 Geo. Insurance Comm,issioner Land Pttrchase Act. transferred and conveyed shall be Crown land: Moreover, any existing Deed or Certificate of Title in respect of the lands so transferred and conveyed to His Majesty shall, so far as such lands are concerned, be and be deemed to be surrendered and cancelled and rescinded, and the Registrar of Titles is hereby authorised and directed to cancel any such Deed or Certificate of Title accordingly. 4. (1.) Without in any way limiting any powers ~ ~= : av heretofore conferred on him, it is expressly declared sell to Public that the Insurance Commissioner may sell for cash or on Corupraatrotr land such terms as may be agreed up . on between him and the thereof. Public Curator such land or any part thereof, and the said the Public Curator is hereby authorised to accept, take, and pay for the same accordingly. And it is further declared that for the purpose of any such sale, the Insurance Commissioner may take and the Public Curator may give all such mortgages and other securities to secure the payment of the purchase money on any such sale at such times, at such interest and on such terms and conditions as may be mutually agreed between them. Powers of Public Curator to lease. 7. The Public Curator may from time to time lease or sublet and accept surrenders of lease or sublease of any part of the said land of which he may then be the purchaser or the registered proprietor or lessee as aforesaid. FIRST SCHEDULE. Oounty of Stanley, Parish of North Brisbane, Oity of Brisbane. Subdivision 1 of Allotment 19 of Section 26, being an area of thirty and fifty-five one-hundredths perches contained within the following boundaries :-Commencing at the west corner of Allotment 20 and bounded thence on the south-east by that allotment bearing 4So 55' 26" one chain ninety and thirty-four one-hundredths links, on the north-east and the north-west by lines bearing 319 0 I' 2S" one chain and thirty-five one-hundredths of a link and 22S" 54' IS" one chain ninety and thirty-four one-hundredths links, and on the south-west by Edward Street bearing 139 0 I' 2S" one chain and twenty-nine one-hundredths of a link to the point of commencement. SECOND SCHEDULE. County of Stanley, Parish of North Brisbane, City of Brisbane, Subdivision 2 of Allotments I and 2() of Section 26 being an area of twelve and forty-three one·hundredths perches contained within the following boundaries :-Commencing at the west corner of Subdivision I and bounded thence on the south-east and the south-west by that subdivision bearing 4So 54' IS" one chain sixty-nine and seven-tenths links and 139 0 I' 2S" one chain eighty-three and three-tenths links, again on the south-east by Adelaide Street bearing 4So 54' 18" twenty and sixty-four one-hundredths links, on the north-east by a line bear- ing 319 0 l' 2S" two chains four and nineteen one-hundredths links, on the north-west by Allotment 19 bearing 228 0 55' 26" one chain ninety and thirty-four one-hundredths links, and again on the south-west by Edward Street bearing 139 0 I' 28" twenty and ninety-five one- hundredths links to the point of commencement.

Subdivision 1 of Allotments 1 and 20 of Section 26, being an area of one rood nine and seventy-six one-hundredths perches con- tained within the following boundaries :-Commencing at the south corner of the section and bounded thence on the south-east by Adelaide Street bearing 48° 54' IS" one chain sixty-nine and seven-tenths links, on the north-east and the north-west by Subdivision 2 bearing 319° I' 28" one chain eighty-three and three-tenths links and 22So 54' IS" one chain sixty-nine and seven-tenths links, and on the south-west by Edward Street bearing 139" I' 2S" one chain eighty-three and three-tenths links to the point of commencement. FOURTH SCHEDULE. Oonnty of Stanley, Parish of North Brisbane, City of Brisbane. Subdivision I of Allotment 19 and Subdivisions 1 and 2 of Allot- ments I and 20 of Section 26 being areas of thirty and fifty-five one· hundredths perches, one rood nine and seventy-six one-hundredths perches, and twelve and fOlty-three one-hundredths perches respec- tively, contained within the following boundaries :--Commencing at the south corner of the section and bounded thence on the south-east by Adelaide Street bearing 4So 54' IS" one chain ninety and thirty-four one-hundredths links, on the north-east and the north- west by lines bearing 319° I' 28" three chains four and fifty-four one· hundredths links and 228° 54' IS" one chain ninety and thirty-four one· hundredths links, and on the south-west by Edward Street bearing 139° I' 2S" three chains four and i"ifty-four one-hundredths links to the point of commencement.
