(Miscellaneous) Regulation 2009

Institute of Teachers Act 2004

Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Institute of Teachers Act 2004.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Institute of Teachers Regulation 2005:

(a) to increase the annual accreditation fee for teachers from $92 to $96, and

(b)

to update the names of the School Education Groups in the definition of non-rural area, which relates to the election for the Quality Teaching Council.

This Regulation is made under the Institute of Teachers Act 2004, including sections 13 (1)

(a), 25 (2) and 52 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Institute of Teachers Amendment
(Miscellaneous) Regulation 2009.

2      Commencement

The Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Institute of Teachers Regulation 2005

(1) Clause 6 Annual accreditation fee

Omit “$92” from clause 6 (1). Insert instead “$96”.

(2) Clause 14 Definitions
Omit “Newcastle and Wollongong School Education Groups” from the definition of non-rural area in clause 14 (1).
Insert instead “Hunter/Central Coast 4, Hunter/Central Coast 5,
Wollongong and Wollongong North School Education Groups”.
