AN ACT to amend the Inspection of

Scaffolding Act, 1924-1950.

[Assented to 25th August, 1954.]

RE it enacted, by the Queen's Most Excellent

Majesty, by and with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council and the Legislative

Assembly of Western Australia, in this present

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the

same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Inspection 2.arlateon

of Scaffolding Act Amendment Act, 1954.

(2) In this Act the Inspection of Scaffolding Act,

is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Inspection of Scaffolding Act, 1924-1954.

Long title

amended. 2. The long title of the principal Act is amended

by adding after the word, "Scaffolding" the words,

"and for other purposes".

5.27	3.	Section twenty-seven of the principal Act is
amended.

amended by adding a new paragraph as follows:—

(i) Prescribing the precautions and measures

to be taken for securing the safety of persons

where the roof of any building or structure

whether constructed or in course of con-

struction is or is intended to be sheathed

with asbestos cement or other brittle

material.
