AN ACT to amend the Inspection of Machinery

Act, 1921-1957.

[Assented to 27th November, 1958.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Inspection and citation.

of Machinery Act Amendment Act, 1958.

(2) In this Act the Inspection of Machinery Act,

1921-1957, is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Inspection of Machinery Act, 1921-1958.

amended. 2. Subsection (3) of section six of the principal

Act is amended

(a)

by adding before the word, "that" in line six, the passage, "either,"; and

(b)

by adding after the word, "apprentice- ship", being the last word of the subsection, the passage, "or that he has had practical and technical training in electrical, struc- tural and mechanical engineering and subsequent practical experience of a satis- factory character in the erection and maintenance of lifts and is capable of making technical calculations and drawings and comprehensive technical reports on lift practices".
