An Act to authorize the Chief Commissioner of Insolvent Esta tes to issue Certificates to Insolvents in certain cases. [24th October, 1853.]

WHEREAS doubts have arisen as to the power of any Chief

of New South Wales with the advice and consent of the Legislative
Council thereof as follows :—

1. Every Certificate to an Insolvent which has been heretofore or shall hereafter he granted by any Commissioner of Insolvent Estates shall or lawfully may at any time after confirmation by the Court be issued by any Chief Commissioner subsequently holding that office with such alteration in the form thereof as the fact of a different Commissioner signing and sealing the same may require and every Certificate so issued shall be as valid for all purposes as if the same had been signed and sealed in due form by the Commissioner who actually granted the same.
