Inland Fisheries (Districts) Order 1996

I make the following order under section 9 of the Inland Fisheries Act 1995 .23 May 1996

1Short titleThis order may be cited as the Inland Fisheries (Districts) Order 1996. 2CommencementThis order takes effect on 31 May 1996. 3InterpretationIn this order – Act means the Inland Fisheries Act 1995. 4Declaration of districts (1)  The areas of land specified in Schedules 1, 2 and 3 to this order are declared to be districts for the purposes of section 9 of the Act. (2)  Those districts are named respectively – (a) the district of the Southern Tasmanian Licensed Anglers’ Association; and (b) the district of the North-Western Fisheries Association; and (c) the district of the Northern Tasmanian Fisheries Association. Schedule 1The district of the Southern Tasmanian Licensed Anglers' Association

Clause 4 All that area of land in Tasmania south of a line of latitude through Antill Ponds to the east and west coasts of Tasmania.

Schedule 2The district of the North-Western Fisheries Association

Clause 4 All that area of land in Tasmania west of a straight line from a point on the high-water mark on Bass Strait at Badger Head to the point where the Ouse River intersects the northern boundary of the district of the Southern Tasmanian Licensed Anglers’ Association.

Schedule 3The district of the Northern Tasmanian Fisheries Association

Clause 4 All that area of land in Tasmania not included in the district of the Southern Tasmanian Licensed Anglers’ Association or in the district of the North-Western Fisheries Association.
