Inland Fisheries Amendment Act 2005

An Act to amend the Inland Fisheries Act 1995

[Royal Assent 24 November 2005]

Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

1Short titleThis Act may be cited as the Inland Fisheries Amendment Act 2005 . 2CommencementThis Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent. 3Principal ActIn this Act, the Inland Fisheries Act 1995 is referred to as the Principal Act. 4Section 38 amended (Whitebait licence) Section 38(1) of the Principal Act is amended as follows: (a) by inserting in paragraph (a) of the penalty "together with a special penalty of 1 penalty unit for each kilogram of whitebait" after "5 penalty units"; (b) by inserting in paragraph (b) of the penalty "together with a special penalty of 1 penalty unit for each kilogram of whitebait" after "10 penalty units".
