Information Privacy Act 2014

  1. Name of regulation

    This regulation is the Information Privacy Amendment Regulation 2017 (No 1).

  2. Commencement

    This regulation commences on the commencement of the Justice and Community Safety Legislation Amendment Act 2017, part 1.6.

    NoteThe naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on the notification day (see Legislation Act, s 75 (1)).

  3. Legislation amended

    This regulation amends the Information Privacy Regulation 2014.

  4. New section 5A

    insert

5APrescribed interstate laws—Act, s 21 (4), def corresponding privacy law, par (b)

The following laws are prescribed:

(a)Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW);

(b)Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic).
