AN ACT to amend the Industry (Advances)

Act, 1947-1959.

[Assented to 6th November, 1961.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title

and citation. 1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Industry

(Advances) Act Amendment Act, 1961.

(2) In this Act the Industry (Advances) Act,

1947-1959, is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act

may be cited as the Industry (Advances) Act, 1947-

1961. Industry (Advances). [No. 32.

2. Section two of the principal Act is amended am ended.

by adding after the figures, "1944" at the end of the section, the passage, "but so that the word 'industry' used in that Act shall, for the purposes of this Act, extend to and include the business of operating the railway known as the Midland Railway carried on by The Midland Railway Company of Western Australia Limited".
