REGULATIONS UNDER THE INDUSTRIES ASSISTANCE COMMISSION ACT 1973.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Industries Assistance Commission Act 1973.

Amendments of the Industries Assistance Commission Regulations

1. After regulation 1 of the Industries Assistance Commission Regulations, the following regulation is inserted:—

Definition.

“1a. In these Regulations, ‘the Act’ means the Industries Assistance CommissionAct 1973.”.

Remuneration and annual allowance of Chairman, Commissioners and Associate Commissioners.

2. Regulation 2 of the Industries Assistance Commission Regulations is amended by omitting the words “In respect of” and substituting the words “Subject to regulation 2a, in respect of”.

3. After regulation 2 of the Industries Assistance Commission Regulations, the following regulation is inserted:—

Remuneration of Associate Commissioner appointed on 3 May 1974.

“2a. In respect of any day on or after 3 May 1974 and before 1 July 1974 on which the Associate Commissioner appointed on 3 May 1974 for periods referred to in paragraph 8 (2)(b) of the Act performs the duties of his office, the rate at which remuneration is payable to him is $125 per day.”.
