Industrial Training (General Apprenticeship)
Amendment Regulations 2007
Made by the Governor in Executive Council.
1. Citation
These regulations are the Industrial Training (General
Apprenticeship) Amendment Regulations 2007.
2. Commencement
These regulations come into operation on the day on which the Industrial Training Amendment Act 2006 section 3 comes into operation.
3. The regulations amended
The amendment in these regulations is to the Industrial Training

4. Regulation 11A inserted
After regulation 11 the following regulation is inserted —
“
11A. Minimum hours of employment For the purposes of section 29B(1)(b)(iii) of the Act, the minimum hours of employment of an apprentice employed on a part-time basis are —
(a) within the meaning that term has under the
School Education Act 1999, an average ofin the case of an apprentice who is a student period of apprenticeship, excluding any time required to attend technical training classes for instruction in the apprenticeship;
(b)
in any other case, 20 hours of paid employment a week, including any time required to attend technical training classes for instruction in the apprenticeship.
”.
