Industrial Relations Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Industrial RelationsAct 1988.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Industrial Relations Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[NOTE: These Regulations are covered by subsection 39 (1) of the Snowy Mountains Engineering Corporation Limited Sale Act 1993. Accordingly, by force of subsection 39 (2) of that Act, these Regulations commence on the day declared to be the sale day under that Act, namely 9 November 1993.]

2.   Schedule 3 (Commonwealth authorities (definition of “public sector employment”))

2.1   Omit “Snowy Mountains Engineering Corporation Limited”.

3.   These Regulations connected with the sale of SMEC

3.1 This Regulation is made for the purposes of subsection 39 (1) of the Snowy Mountains Engineering Corporation Limited Sale Act 1993.

3.2   The Governor-General is satisfied that these Regulations are connected with the sale of SMEC.

3.3   These Regulations take effect on the sale day.

3.4   In this regulation, “sale day” and “SMEC” have the same meanings respectively as in the Snowy Mountains Engineering Corporation Limited Sale Act 1993.
