His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Industrial Relations Act 1996.

Explanatory note

The objects of this Regulation are:

(a) to increase certain fees set out in Schedule1 to the Industrial Relations (General) Regulations 1996 to be paid in respect of the business of the Industrial Relations Commission. and
(b) to increase certain penalties imposed by penalty notices. issued under section 396 of the Industrial Relations Act 1996 for contravention of certain provisions of that Act. as set out in Schedule 2 to that Regulation.

This Regulation is made under the Industrial Relations Act 1996, including sections 183 (Regulations relating to fees), 396 (Penalty notices) and 407 (the general regulation-making power).

Regulation 1998

1 Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Industrial Relations (General) Amendment (Fees and Penalties Imposed by Penalty Notices) Regulation 1998.

2 Commencement

This Regulation commences on 1 November 1998.

  1. Amendment of Industrial Relations (General) Regulation 1996

    The Industrial Relations (General) Regulation 1996 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.

The explanatory note does not form part of this Regulation.

(Clause 20)

1.        To open or keep open an office (or part of an office) of the Industrial Registry:

(a) on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday
(except the day after Easter Monday) 394.00
(b) on any other day:
(i) before 9 a.m. or after 4.30 p.m. 394.00
(ii) between 9 a.m. and 9.30 a.m. or 4 p.m.
and 4.30 p.m. 40.00
2. Making a copy of any document, per page 2.00
(minimum fee 10.00)
