His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Industrial Relations Act 1996.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to prescribe the fee payable for an application for an order of the Commission declaring an unfair contract void or varied. The fee payable will be $509.
The Regulation also exempts from the payment of fees under the Act any
association that is registered under Chapter 6 of the Act.
This Regulation is made under the Industrial Relations Act 1996, including section
183 (Regulations relating to fees) and section 407 (the general regulation-making

power).

1     Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Industrial Relations (General) Amendment

(Application Fees) Regulation 1999.

2 Commencement

This Regulation commences on 1 December 1999.

3 Amendment of Industrial Relations (General) Regulation 1996

The Industrial Relations (General) Regulation 1996 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.

Schedule 1 Amendments

(Clause 3)

[1]     Clause 20 Commission fees

Omit “other than the fee set out in item 3 of Schedule 1” from clause 20 (2). Insert instead “other than the fees set out in items 3 and 4 of Schedule 1”.

[2]     Clause 20 (4)

Omit the subclause. Insert instead:

(4) A fee set out in Schedule 1 is not payable by:
(a) an industrial organisation, or
(b) an association registered under Chapter 6 of the Act,
unless that Schedule expressly so provides.

[3]     Schedule 1 Fees for business of Commission

Insert at the end of the Schedule:

4.                For the lodgment of an application under

section 108 of the Act 509.00
