AN ACT to amend the Industrial and Commercial
Employees' Housing Act, 1973.
[Assented to 10th September, 1976.]
BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
Short title
| 1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Industrial and Commercial Employees' Housing Act | and |

| (2) In this Act the Industrial and Commercial Employees' Housing Act, 1973 is referred to as the principal Act. | of 1973. |

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Industrial and Commercial Employees' Housing Act, 1973-1976.
Section 22
| amended. | 2. Section 22 of the principal Act is amended |
| (a) | as to subsection (1), by deleting all of the subsection after the word "non-Govern- ment" and inserting in lieu thereof a passage as follows |

| (a) | to acquire or improve, or both acquire and improve, land for the erection thereon of houses for occupation by essential industrial or commercial employees of the employer; and |
| (b) | to effect the erection on the land of such houses. ; and |
(b) by adding a subsection as follows
(3) The Treasurer shall cause any money required for fulfilling any guarantee given by him pursuant to this section to be paid out of the Public Account, which account is hereby to the necessary extent appropriated accordingly, and the Treasurer shall cause any sums received or recovered by him from the employer concerned or otherwise in respect of a sum so paid by the Treasurer to be paid into the Public Account. .
