1Name of Regulations

These Regulations are the Indigenous Education (Targeted Assistance) Amendment Regulations 2002 (No. 1).

2Commencement

These Regulations commence on gazettal.

4Appropriations for non-ABSTUDY payments (Act s 14)

  1. (1)

    For subsection 14 (5) of the Act, the amount mentioned in subsection 14 (1) of the Act is increased by a factor of 1.019, which is the factor by which the Wage Cost Index No. 1 has changed from the 1999–2000 financial year to the 2000–2001 financial year.

  2. (2)

    For subsection 14 (5) of the Act, the amount mentioned in subsection 14 (2) of the Act is increased by a factor of 1.041, which is the cumulative factor by which the Wage Cost Index No. 1 has changed from the 1999–2000 financial year to the 2001–2002 financial year.

  3. (3)

    For subsection 14 (5) of the Act, the amount mentioned in subsection 14 (3) of the Act is increased by a factor of 1.041, which is the cumulative factor by which the Wage Cost Index No. 1 has changed from the 1999–2000 financial year to the 2001–2002 financial year.

  4. (4)

    For subsection 14 (5) of the Act, the amount mentioned in subsection 14 (4) of the Act is increased by a factor of 1.041, which is the cumulative factor by which the Wage Cost Index No. 1 has changed from the 1999–2000 financial year to the 2001–2002 financial year.

Note The Wage Cost Index No. 1 is the index determined in writing by the Finance Minister for subsection 14 (5) of the Act.
