I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South
Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of
the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal and Other Legislation

Amendment Act 2000, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 November 2000 as

the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

Explanatory note

This proclamation commences the uncommenced provisions of the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2000 which contain amendments to various Acts principally to confer on the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal certain regulatory functions in connection with electricity, gas and urban water utilities and to establish a Utilities Licence Auditing Advisory Committee.
