The Legislature of New South Wales enacts:

Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the Inclosed Lands Protection

(Amendment) Act 1989.

Commencement

2. This Act commences on a day or days to be appointed by

proclamation.

Amendment of Inclosed Lands Protection Act 1901 No. 33

3. The Inclosed Lands Protection Act 1901 is amended as set out in

Schedule 1.

SCHEDULE 1 - AMENDMENTS

(Sec. 3)

(1) Section 4 (Penalty for unlawful entry upon inclosed lands):

From section 4 (1), omit "$100", insert instead "$500".

(2) Section 4A (Offensive conduct while upon inclosed lands):

From section 4A (1), omit "$500", insert instead "$1,000".

(3) Section 5 (Penalty on leaving gate open):

Omit "$100" wherever occurring, insert instead "$200".
