In the Matter of An Application BY Jerrod James Conomy for Leave to Appeal
[2019] HCASL 244
IN THE MATTER OF AN APPLICATION BY JERROD JAMES CONOMY FOR LEAVE TO APPEAL
[2019] HCASL 244
P40/2019
The applicant applies for leave to appeal from "the relevant parts of the decision[s] of Gordon J in proceeding P22 of 2019: (a) given on 3 July 2019; or (b) given on 22 May 2019; or (c) both a and b." Each decision concerns matters of practice and procedure. Nothing in the materials filed in support of the application identifies an arguable ground of challenge to either decision. It follows that it would be futile to make an order dispensing with the requirements of the High Court Rules 2004 (Cth) ("the Rules") with respect to the proposed challenge to the decision of 22 May 2019. Leave to appeal against the decisions given on 3 July 2019 and 22 May 2019 is refused.
Pursuant to r 41.08.1 of the Rules, we direct the Registrar to draw up, sign and seal an order dismissing the application.
