HERE 45 by the Insolvent Act 1857-8, it was amongst other

W satisfaction of the Court that any imprisoned debtor had not the things provided that, if it should be made to appear to the

means of retaining such practition& as iherein mentioned, i t should

be lawful for the Court, among other things, to remit the fees by the said Act made payable: And whereas, by the said Act, certain advertisements are required to be inserted in certain newspapers therein referred to; and no provision is made for the remission of the charges payable in respect of such advertisements: And whereas divers imprisoned debtors have been and are detained in prison solely by reason of their inability to provide for the payment of the last-rncntioned charges, and it is expedient to remedy the incon- venience thereby occasioned-Be i t therefore Enacted by the Governor-in-Chief of the Province of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of the said Province: in this present Parliament assembled, as follows:
