His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Impounding Act 1993.

Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to prescribe the Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust as an impounding authority for the purposes of the Impounding Act 1993, so enabling it to exercise the same powers with respect to abandoned property as are exercisable by other impounding authorities.

This Regulation is made in connection with the making of the Royal Botanic
Gardens and Domain Trust Regulation 1997.
This Regulation is made under the Impounding Act 1993, including section

51 (the general regulation making power) and the Dictionary to that Act.

1 Name of Regulation

Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust) Regulation 1997.

2 Amendment

The Impounding (General) Regulation 1993 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.
