Immigration (Education) Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Immigration (Education) Act 1971.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations are taken to have commenced on 1 January 1994.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Immigration (Education) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 5 (Definitions—section 4A of the Act)

3.1   Subparagraph 5 (1) (a) (ii):

Omit the subparagraph, substitute:

“(ii)

the Pensioner Health Benefits Card; or

(iii)

the Pensioner Concession Card;”.

3.2   Subparagraph 5 (1) (c) (ii):

Omit the subparagraph, substitute:

“(ii)

the Pensioner Health Benefits Card; or

(iii)

the Pensioner Concession Card;”.
