Immigration (Education) Charge Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Immigration (Education) Charge Act 1992.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on 1 October 1993.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Immigration (Education) Charge Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Schedule (Amounts of English Education Charge)

3.1    Item 1 (paragraphs (a) and (b)):

Omit “1,020”, substitute “2,040”.

3.2   Item 6 (paragraph (b)):

Omit “1,020”, substitute “2,040”.

4.   Transitional

4.1   The amendments made by regulation 3 do not apply in relation to a visa application lodged on or after 1 October 1993 if the visa is granted before 1 January 1994.
