Immigration (Education) Charge Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Immigration (Education) Charge Act 1992.

1.   Commencement

1.1 Subject to subregulation 1.2, these Regulations are taken to have commenced

 on 1 September 1994.

1.2   Subregulation 3.1 commences on 3 April 1995.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Immigration (Education) Charge Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 5 (Exempt visas)

3.1   After subparagraph 5 (1) (a) (i), insert:

• “(ia)

  Business Skills (Residence) (Class BH);”.

3.2   After subparagraph 5 (1) (a) (ix), insert:

• “(ixa)

  Subclass 832 (Close Ties);

• (ixb)

  Subclass 833 (Certain Unlawful Non-citizens);”.
