An Act to authorize the Issue of Land Orders, under section 5 of " The Immigration Act, 1872," to certain Immigrants, although they may not have complied with section 4 o f that Act.

HEREAS certain persons have recently arrived, or are now on re amble.

W their way to South Australia, as immigrants, intending as

such immigrants to settle in South Australia and avail themselves

of the privileges conferred upon immigrants by " The Immigration Act, 1872," and such persons having been unable before sailing to comply with the provisions of the said Act, it is desirable and expedient to amend the said Act, so as to enable such persons to exercise and enjoy the privileges aforesaid: Be it therefore Enacted by the Governor of the Province of South Australia, by and with the advice and consent of thc Legislative Council and House of Assembly of the said Province in this present Parliament assembled, as follows:

himself of the privileges of this Act if he shall have previously resided in the said Province, nor unless he shall have paid the full cost of the passage of hirnsclf or of some other person, nor pnless such immigrant shall have been examined at Port Adelaide and approved by the Immigration Officer therc as a person suitable for an emigrant within the terms of the regulations in force at the time such emigrant left Europe.
