No. XXXV.
WH E R E A S the Assisted Immigration Acts and the Land and Immigration Deposit Regulations have not been found bene ficial and it is deemed expedient to repeal the same Be it therefore enacted by His Excellency the Governor of New South Wales by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof as follows:—
1. The Act of Council passed in the sixteenth year of Her Majesty's reign and known as the Assisted Immigration Act and the Act passed to amend the same in the eighteenth year of Her said Majesty's reign arc hereby repealed except in respect of all rights acquired and liabilities incurred by employers and immigrants who have come under engagements in pursuance of the said Acts or either of them and in respect of the rights and liabilities which in pursuance of the ninth section of the first above-mentioned Act have already been acquired or come under or which before the receipt of notice of this Act An Act to repeal the Assisted Immigration Acts and the Land and Immigration Deposit Regu lations. [18th December, 1855.]
Act shall be acquired or come under by and between the owner or master of any ship or vessel and any emigrants from the United King dom or any foreign country.
2. The Land and Immigration Deposit Regulations established by His Excellency the Governor General with the advice of the Executive Council and notified on the eighth day of June in the year one thousand eight hundred and fifty-two are hereby repealed except as to or in relation to any deposits made in pursuance thereof before the passing hereof.
