Application for approval of the Hunter Water Corporation Employees Enterprise Agreement 2024
An application has been made by Hunter Water Corporation (Applicant) for approval of an enterprise agreement known as the Hunter Water Corporation Employees Enterprise Agreement 2024 (Agreement). The Application is made pursuant to s. 185 of the Fair Work Act 2009 (the Act). The Agreement is a single enterprise agreement. The Commission must approve the agreement if the requirements in ss. 186 and 187 of the Act are met.
Having regard to the information contained in the application and filed in relation to it, I am satisfied that each of the requirements of ss. 186 and 187 are met.
The Communications, Electrical and Plumbing Union of Australia (CEPU), the Australian Services Union (ASU) and the Australian Manufacturing Workers Union (AMWU) were each bargaining representatives for the Agreement. They support the application for approval. The unions have given notice under s. 183 of the Act that they wants the Agreement to cover them. In accordance with s. 201(2) of the Act, I note the Agreement covers the CEPU, ASU and AMWU.
The Agreement is approved on 3 April 2025. The operative date of the Agreement will be seven days from the date of this decision in accordance with s.54 of the Act. The nominal expiry date is 30 June 2027.
