HUNTER WATER BOARD (CORPORATISATION) ACT 1991—

PROCLAMATION

I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Hunter Water Board (Corporatisation) Act 1991, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 January 1992 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the uncommenced provisions of

the Hunter Water Board (Corporatisation) Act 1991.

The uncommenced provisions are:

(a) Part 2 that deals with the establishment of Hunter Water Corporation Limited as a State owned corporation; and

(b) Part 3 that deals with the transfer of assets, rights and liabilities; and (c) Part 4 that deals with the dissolution of the Hunter Water Board; and

(d) Part 5 that deals with provisions applying to Hunter Water Coporation

Limited (except Division 1 and sections 35 and 39); and

(e) Part 6 that deals with miscellaneous matters (except section 70); and
(f) Schedule 1 that deals with the amendment of Acts.

Part 1 of the Act that deals with preliminary matters, Division 1 of Part 5 that deals with the grant of the operating licence by the Governor to Hunter Water Corporation Limited, section 35 that deals with publication of the terms and conditions of customer contracts, section 39 that provides that the operating licence may specify the basis for fixing certain charges and section 70 dealing with regulations, commenced on 13 December 1991.
