His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and on the recommendation of the Minister for Land and Water Conservation, has made the following Order under the Hunter Water Act 1991.

Explanatory note
The object of this Order is to declare an area of land at Stockton to be a special area within the meaning of the Hunter Water Act 1991. The exercise of functions and the carrying on of activities by the Crown, public authorities and other persons in relation to a special area is regulated by Division 8 of Part 5 of that Act and by regulations made under that Division.

This Order is made under section 53 of the Hunter Water Act 1991.

1     Name of Order

This Order is the Hunter Water (North Stockton Catchment Area)

Order 1999.

2 Commencement

This Order commences on 3 December 1999.

3     Constitution of special area

Pursuant to section 53 of the Hunter Water Act 1991, the area of land comprising the areas described in Schedules 1 and 2 is by this Order declared to be a special area within the meaning of that Act, to be known as the North Stockton Catchment Area.
