An Act to amend section 4 of the Hunter Valley Conservation Trust Act, 1950, with respect to the remuneration of trustees of the Hunter Valley Conservation Trust. [Assented to, 20th September, 1977.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

  1. This Act may be cited as the "Hunter Valley Conservation

Trust (Amendment) Act, 1977".

2.      (1) Except as provided in subsection (2), this Act shall

commence on the date of assent to this Act.

(2) Section 3 shall be deemed to have commenced on

1st July, 1973.

3. The Hunter Valley Conservation Trust Act, 1950, is

amended by omitting section 4 (5) (a) , (b) and (c) and by

inserting instead the following paragraphs : —

(a) Subject to paragraph (c), each trustee is entitled to be

paid such remuneration (if any) for his services as the Governor

may from time to time determine in respect of him.

(b) Each trustee is entitled to be paid such travelling and subsistence allowances (if any) as the Governor may from time to time determine in respect of him.

(c) Remuneration is not payable under paragraph (a) to a person in respect of any period after 30th June, 1973, during which he is—

(i)   a person referred to in section 4 (3) (a) (iv), (v) or (vi); or

(ii)

(ii)   a person referred to in section 4 (3) (a) (ii) or (iii) and at the same time an officer of the Public Service.
