Act No. 40, 1976.

An Act to amend the Hunter District Water, Sewerage and Drainage Act, 1938, to provide that certain land vested in the Mines Rescue Board shall not be ratable. [Assented to, 18th October, 1976.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

  1. This Act may be cited as the "Hunter District Water,

Sewerage and Drainage (Rating) Amendment Act, 1976".

  1. (1) This section and section 1 shall commence on

the date of assent to this Act.

(2) Section 3 shall commence upon the day appointed and notified pursuant to section 2 (2) of the Mines Rescue (Amendment) Act, 1976.

3. The Hunter District Water, Sewerage and Drainage

Act, 1938, is amended—

(a)

by omitting from section 91 (1) (n) (ii) the word "business." and by inserting instead the word "business;";

(b)

by inserting after section 91 (1) (n) the following paragraph :—

(o) land which is vested in the Mines Rescue Board constituted under the Mines Rescue
Act, 1925, and is used for the purposes of
a central rescue station or subsidiary rescue
station, within the meaning of that Act.
