Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Human Tissue Act 1983.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to provide that medical practitioners who are Fellows of the College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand may be appointed as designated specialists for the purposes of the Human Tissue Act 1983.

This Regulation is made under the Human Tissue Act 1983, including sections 5 and 39 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Human Tissue Amendment (Designated
Specialists) Regulation 2010.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Human Tissue Regulation 2005

Clause 15 Designated specialists

Insert at the end of clause 15:

(g) Fellows of the College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand.
