Housing Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2008 [s 1] 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Housing Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2008 . 2 Commencement This regulation commences on 15 March 2008. 3 Regulation amended This regulation amends the Housing Regulation 2003. 4 Amendment of s 8A (Accreditation for certain providers) Section 8A(1)(a)(i), ‘boarding house program’— omit, insert— ‘community-managed housing - studio units program’. 5 Amendment of s 26 (Eligibility) (1) Section 26(2)(a)(i), ‘boarding house program’— omit, insert— ‘community-managed housing - studio units program’. (2) Section 26(2)(d), ‘Island Council’— omit, insert— ‘indigenous regional council’. 6 Amendment of s 27A (Duration of need policy) (1) Section 27A(1)(a)(i), ‘boarding house program’— omit, insert— ‘community-managed housing - studio units program’. (2) Schedule 5— insert— ‘ community-managed housing - studio units program means the community-managed housing - studio units program administered by the department, formerly known as the boarding house program. indigenous regional council see the LocalGovernmentAct1993 , schedule 2.’. (3) Schedule 5, definition accounting standards , paragraph (a), after ‘ Act 2004 ’— insert— ‘or an indigenous regional council’. (4) Schedule 5, definition accounting standards , paragraph (c)— omit, insert— (c) for an indigenous regional council— (i) from 15 March 2008 to 30 June 2009—the accounting standards that apply to the indigenous regional council under the Local Government 2008 SL No. 52 Page 3
