House of Assembly (Election) Regulations2 (Amendment)
I, GORDON GLEN DENTON SCHOLES, the Minister of State for Territories, hereby make the following Regulation under the House of Assembly Ordinance 1936.

Minister may direct holding of an election
Regulation 25 of the House of Assembly (Election) Regulations is amended by inserting after sub-regulation (1) the following sub-regulation:
“(1A) Notwithstanding sub-regulation (1), in respect of the period commencing on the day on which this sub-regulation takes effect and ending at the expiration of 31 December 1986, the Minister may—
(a)give a direction for the holding of an election; and
(b)in connection with that election, appoint dates for the purposes referred to in sub-regulation (1),
at any time during that period.”.
