Made by the Minister for Health under section 37(3)(af) of the Act and regulation 5(2) of the regulations.

2. Commencement
This determination comes into operation as follows:
(a) clauses 1 and 2—on the day on which this determination is published in the Gazette; (b) the rest of the determination - on 1 July 2008. 3. The determination amended
The amendments in this determination are to the Hospital
(Services Charges for Compensable Patients)
Determination 2005.4. Schedule 1 replaced
Schedule 1 is repealed and the following Schedule is inserted instead -
Schedule I - Services charges for
compensable patients

Division 1 - Compensable in-patients Accommodation, maintenance, nursing care
and other services in a hospital bed, except
services referred to in item 3 or 4 ................ $1 545 per day 2. Accommodation, maintenance, nursing care
and other services in a hospital bed for a
patient, not being a patient mentioned in
item 2A, in respect of whose care and
treatment the Motor Vehicle (Third Party
Insurance) Act 1943 applies or prima facie
appears to apply ..................................... $1 347 per day 2A. Accommodation, maintenance, nursing care
and other services in a hospital bed for a
patient in Princess Margaret Hospital for Children in respect of whose care and
treatment the Motor Vehicle (Third Party
Insurance) Act 1943 applies or prima facie
appears to apply ..................................... $1 656 per day 3. Accommodation, maintenance, nursing care
and other services in a nursing home bed ........ $223 per day 4.
Ventilator dependent compensable in-patient
with tracheostomy requiring 24 hours
