Hospitals (Services Charges) Amendment

Regulations (No. 6) 2013

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations are the Hospitals (Services Charges)
Amendment Regulations (No. 6) 2013.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a) regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these

regulations are published in the Gazette;

(b) the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.             Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Hospitals (Services Charges)
Regulations 1984.

4.             Regulation 4 amended

In regulation 4(1) delete the definition of surgically implanted
prostheses and insert:

surgically implanted prostheses —

(a) means the prostheses specified in the Schedule to the Private Health Insurance (Prostheses) Rules 2013 (No. 1) (Commonwealth) as in force on the day on which the Hospitals

(Services Charges) Amendment Regulations

(No. 6) 2013 regulation 4 comes into operation; but
(b)	does not include a prosthesis supplied to an eligible war service veteran for the purposes of a cardiothoracic surgical service specified in a determination made under section 37(3)(af) of the Act and regulation 5(2)(b);
