1.            Citation

These regulations are the Hospitals (Services Charges)

Ainendinent Regulations (No. 2) 2012.

2. Commencement
These regulations conic into operation as follows -

Midwives kept under , that Law;

(a) regulations I and 2 — can the day on •hich these

regulations are published in the Gazette;

(h) the rest of the regulations on the day after that day.

3.             Regulations .trnended

These regulations amend the Hospitals (Services Charges)

Regulations 1984.

4. Regula tion 4 .amended
In regulation 4(1) insert in alphabetical order:

snrithtivrfe means a person registered under the Health

Practitioner Regulation National Law (Western
Australia) whose name is entered on the Register of

m idwifery sen'ice means a midwifery• service that is to he treated as both a professional service and a medical service in accordance • ith a determination made under

section 3C(1) of the Commonwealth Act;

5.            Re-u'ation 7 amended

In regulation 7(1 )(b)(iii) delete "capacity;" and insert:

capacity or midwifery services provided
by a midwife acting in a private

capacity;
