This rule may be cited as the Hospitals Foundations (Royal Brisbane Hospital Research Foundation) Amendment Rule (No. 1) 1994 . ˙ Rule amended 2. This rule amends the Royal Brisbane Hospital Foundation Rules of the Research Committee . ˙ Replacement of s 1 (Citation) 3. Section 1— omit, insert— ˙ ‘Short title ‘1. This rule may be cited as the Hospitals Foundations (Royal BrisbaneHospital Research Foundation) Rule ’. ˙ Amendment of s 2 (Definitions) 4.(1) Section 2 (definitions “Foundation” and “the Act” )— omit . (2) Section 2— insert — ‘ “Foundation” means the Royal Brisbane Hospital Research Foundation; ’. ˙ Amendment of s 3 (Research Committee) 5.(1) Section 3.5— omit ‘ subrule (3)(a) ’, insert ‘ section 3.3(a) ’. (2) Section 3.6— omit ‘ subrule (3)(b) ’, insert ‘ section 3.3(b) ’.

Section 5.3— omit, insert— ‘5.3 (1) An amount received by the Foundation— (a) for the research objects of the Foundation; or (b) as income from investment of amounts in the Research Fund; must be paid into the Research Fund. ‘(2) However, the Foundation may keep an amount for payment of reasonable expenses the Foundation has incurred, or may be expected to incur, in soliciting gifts for the Foundation. ’. ˙ Amendment of headings 7. The headings mentioned in column 1 of the Schedule are omitted and the headings in column 2 are inserted.
