HOSPITALS AND HEALTH SERVICES (WESTERN HEALTH SERVICE
APPOINTMENTS) INSTRUMENT 1997

Made by the Lieutenant-Governor and deputy of the Governor in Executive Council under section 15 of the Hospitals and Health Services Act 1927.

Citation

1.    This instrument may be cited as the Hospitals and Health Services (Western Health

Service Appointments) Instrument 1997.

Commencement

2.    This instrument comes into operation immediately after the re-organization notice comes

into operation.

Interpretation

3. In this instrument —
"former board" means a board mentioned in Division 1 of Schedule 1 to the

re-organization notice;

"the re-organization notice" means the Hospitals and Health Services (Re-organiza-

tion of Hospital Boards) Notice (No. 2) 1997;

"Western Health Service" means the board assigned that corporate name under clause

4 of the re-organization notice.

Termination of tenure (members of former boards)

4.    The term of tenure of every member of a former board who holds office on the coming

into operation of this instrument is terminated.

Appointments to constitute Western Health Service

5.    The persons mentioned in Schedule 1 to this instrument are appointed to constitute the

Western Health Service for the period —

(a)	in the case of the persons mentioned in Division 1 of that Schedule—from 1 Janu- ary 1998 to 30 September 1998;
(b)	in the case of the persons mentioned in Division 2 of that Schedule—from 1 Janu- ary 1998 to 30 September 1999; and
(c)	in the case of the persons mentioned in Division 3 of that Schedule—from 1 Janu- ary 1998 to 30 September 2000,

with both dates in that period being inclusive.
