Citation 1. This order may be cited as the Hospitals and Health Services (Private Psychiatric Hostels) Exemption Order 1997.

HOSPITALS AND HEALTH SERVICES (PRIVATE PSYCHIATRIC HOSTELS) EXEMPTION ORDER 1997

Commencement

2.     This order comes into operation on the same day as the Mental Health

Act 1996 comes into operation.

Interpretation

3.      In this order —

"hostel" has the same meaning as it has for the purposes of the

regulations;

"regulations" means the Hospitals (Licensing and Conduct of Private

Psychiatric Hostels) Regulations 1997.

Certain private hostels exempt from regulation 8 (2)

4.      The hostels listed in Schedule 1, other than Ruth Downer, are exempt

from regulation 8 (2) of the regulations.

Hostels listed in Schedule 1 exempt from regulations 10 and 12

5.      The hostels listed in Schedule 1 are exempt from regulations 10 and 12

of the regulations.
